WikiTV is a community-project that traces its roots back tot he Wikipedia anniversry celebrations in 2011. Then, a first TV show was produced online in cooperation with the ORF (Austrian Public Broadcaster). In March 2012 the WikiTV project received a 36.000 Euro budget from Wikimedia Deutschland. With these funds a camera was acquired, a large amount of the money remains unspent.
