In 2012 the Austrian ''Denkmallistenprojekt'' was awarded the "Zedlerpreis für freies Wissen" (''Zedler-award for free knowledge''). The project was featured in the Category ''Community-project of the year'' for helping to encourage the people to create content for the Wikimedia projects directly or indirectly, as the jury said. Wikimedia Austria together with Wikimedia Germany financed the journey of community-representatives to the award-ceremonial in Berlin and helped the project indirectly to win the award by advertising for WLM. | |||
